Hebrew Footnotes

I am writing a document in Hebrew (RTL language) and what the footnotes to also be in Hebrew.

When I start a footnote it formats it as a LTR language. And the bar above the footnotes is on the left side of the page - I want it to be on the right side of the page.

Is there a way to do this?

Thank you

You can temporarily enable Hebrew in the Language settings in Word and it will show additional options in the user interface (even if full support for Hebrew isn't installed).

However, here I find that the right-to-left and left-to-right options are grayed out in the Modify Style dialog box:

You may have to set these options in the Page Setup dialog box instead.

I can't tell you exactly because I don't have the option of RTL text enabled in my copy of Word, but you need to open the Modify Style dialog for the Footnote Text style. The easiest way to do this is to press Ctrl+Shift+S to open the Apply Styles dialog, type in "Footnote Text," and click Modify.

In the dialog, click Format and choose Paragraph. That dialog is where you should be able to set the text direction.

Is the Footnote Text style formatted as RTL?
