MS Lists - language setting for one column is different

Hello,

I have started using MS Lists. I have changed the language in settings (My account icom -> View account -> Settings & Privacy -> Display language and preffered language) and majority of my Lists are in English. However under Column 'Due date' in Lists, I see German named of the workdays and German date format etc. "28. Februar". In settings, I have Regional format of the date as "English (UK)", so I do not understand where this German comlumn is coming from. Could you please advise how can I change this?

Kind regards

    Dear Ewa K

Good day! Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

Based on your description, it seems that when you change the list language in settings, only the certain column still shows as German.

In this scenario, we did a test on our end, and we found the settings maybe need take several hours (or even more than ten hours) to change the display language. So, we suggest you keep patient to wait for much time and then check the behavior.

If the column still shows as German after several hours, to help you better and for the further troubleshoot, we would like to collect more detailed information you're experiencing so that we can have a further investigation:

    • May I know does this behavior happened in other MS lists or only happened in this specific list?
    • Please try to change the language in SharePoint via site settings>Click Language settings and Regional Settings under site administration.
    • Do other users also have the same behavior as yours in this MS list?

Looking forward to your reply, please notice the above information is vital for us to further assist you, any updates please feel free to post back.

Your understanding and patience will be highly appreciated. I hope that you are keeping safe and well!

    Sincerely,

    Stacey | Microsoft Community Moderator
