Renew Windows Server Essential Certificate for Remote Access

On my Windows Server Essentials 2012 R2, the certificate for remote access has expired. It also tells me that the server is not connected to the Internet. But this is not the case because the server can also download updates. I have tried the automatic fixes for the certificate problem but to no avail. Is there another (manual) way to renew the certificate?

Thank you.

I'd disable the 169.254.xxx.xxx adapter, then add 192.168.0.165 listed for DNS on other adapter then do ipconfig /flushdns, ipconfig /registerdns, restart the netlogon service.

I'd still add 192.168.0.165 listed for DNS on remaining adapter then do ipconfig /flushdns, ipconfig /registerdns, restart the netlogon service.

I don't know if it's your case but it seems there are several known issues within the last months

Hi and thank you for the hint. I tried that but it didn't work. After signing in I get the attached error message. I tried several times, restarted the server but the result is always the same:

I'm using an URL like mydomain.remotewebaccess.com
