How do I include @mentions when emailing Yammer?

I am posting to Yammer via email. These are general notifications in a community and want to include @mentions of my teammates in the posts. Is there a specific format they need to be in [example: @Johnston, Bob] or will it need braces, parentheses or quotes?

To include an @mention of a teammate in a Yammer post, you can simply include the "@" symbol followed by their name, with no additional punctuation needed. For example: "@Johnston, Bob" or "@Bob Johnston" will both work. You can also use the "Search" function to find and select the person you want to mention, rather than manually typing out their name. This will ensure that the @mention is properly linked to their profile, and they will receive a notification about the mention.
