Removing an employee from Shifts group

Question

If I were to remove a person from a group in MS Shifts, does it delete the previously recorded shifts in that schedule? I would like to keep a record of an employee's previous shifts even though they no longer work for the organization, but remove their name from future schedules.

I did a test in my lab. I tried to add a new member in our group and schedule the shifts to him. Then we removed it from the group. From the removed user of view, they cannot see their shifts in the Teams anymore. But for schedule shift users, they can still see the shift record like the following picture:
