Getting run time error 4198 command failed

Is there a Microsoft update or ddl that has been made since this error first appeared in October that is to blame? After clicking the debug button, the following line of my code failed.

Error:-The Specified file could not be written to. It may be in use.

Run time error 4198 command failed

Set docWD = appWD.Documents.Open(strdoc)

appWD.Visible = True
