Help Needed with Branching Issue - MS Form not returning to previous question

Hello All,

I'm facing a frustrating issue with the branching functionality in my form. The form serves as an intake form for PM content and has a branching issue on Question 8.

The question asks, "Do you want to submit another resource?" The intended behavior is to go back to Question 3 for another submission if the respondent selects "Yes." However, the form fails to comply and instead directs users to the end page, confirming their submission.

I have attempted various approaches to resolve this issue. One approach involved splitting the survey into 2 sections, placing Questions 1-7 in the first section and Question 8 in the second section. Unfortunately, this modification did not fix the problem.

Does anyone have advice on how to make the branching work properly? I want respondents to be able to submit multiple resources before officially submitting the whole form. Any advice or suggestions would be highly appreciated!

    According to Microsoft:

Use branching logic in Microsoft Forms - Microsoft Support

    Notes:

    • You can only branch to a consecutive question and not a preceding one. For example, if you have seven questions in your form and want to add branching to question 4, it can only branch to questions 5, 6, 7, or end of form. In the same example, question 5 can only branch to questions 6, 7, or end of form.
    • If you try to branch to a preceding question, such as question 4 branching to question 2, it will break the experience for your respondent by skipping questions 5 through 7 and taking them directly to the end of the form with the Submit button. To prevent this, only branch to a consecutive question.
