cant get the verification code

hello mr/mrs
my problem is i can't get my verification code because my phone number is not work anymore and i already change my phone number.
so can i get my verification code so i can change my phone number in my account?

    Hi,

    I have a Hotmail email account that has my previously married surname.

    I created an alias email with my new married name as an outlook account.

    I have received an email saying your account is set to close on the 8/17/2023, if I want to keep my account all I have to do is sign in.

    I am not able to sign into my Hotmail as the username has been turned-off for sign in.

    To sign in with my Hotmail I have to update/edit my account info/sign in preferences, to do this it is asking me to approve a request on my Microsoft Authenticator app. I don't have my Hotmail or outlook account on my Microsoft authenticator app, so I select I can't use my Microsoft Authenticator App right now. These options then appear

    Approve a request on my Microsoft Authenticator app

    Use a verification code from my mobile app

    Email (my work email)

    I select the work email option and enter my work email, but I do not receive a verification code, and it is not in my junk folder.

    I'm a little lost as to what to do from here.

    Some assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    If you have tried the above and still do not receive your verification code, and you are using a business account with a business subscription, in order not to waste your time and better help you, please kindly try to get in touch with our data protection team, please kindly refer to Get support - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn

    At the same time, if you are not using an account with a Business subscription, in order to help you, I still need to ask you for your account type, i.e. what account type are you using? (outlook.com/hotmail.com/imap Account/POP Account)
