Hello,

I have many presentations that I create on a Windows PC that I want to use on my iPad.

I have Microsoft 365.

The problem is the hyperlinks to slides within a presentation do not work on the iPad version of PowerPoint.

Is there a way to get these hyperlinks working?

Thanks

    Dear シェーマス・カウチ,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you

According to your description, when you use PowerPoint for iPad, you find that hyperlinks which are created on PC are not working .

First, I want to confirm where these hyperlinks point and whether they point to other files. If my understanding is correct, I also tested it in my environment. If you point to other files, because this link points to a local location, the address will be invalidated when the file is transferred to a new device, which may be causing the behavior you are experiencing.

If my understanding is incorrect, please feel free to correct me.

If you want your presentations to be connected to each other and work on all devices, my suggestion is that you can upload your presentation to the OneDrive cloud and then copy the cloud address of the file as a hyperlink so that the hyperlink will take effect on all devices:

If hyperlinks don't work on the web and your Office app has been updated to the latest version, I'd like to know the following:

    • Does this behavior occur in other presentations?
    • Version information for your PowerPoint for iPad.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. Please do not hesitate to post your queries in Microsoft Community and we will always do our best to assist you!

    Sincerely,

    Tin,

Thank you for replying to my inquiry.

So I re-installed Microsoft 365 on my iPad and it seems hyperlinks within the same presentation, links to slides within the same presentation, are working.

Unfortunately there is one other function of PowerPoint on Windows that is not working on iPad which is Triggers.

Here is a linkto my power point that uses hyperlinks and triggers to create a game. If you click on a hyperlink on the 4th slide, a number box, it will link to a slide later in the presentation. Then if you click the hyperlink back to the 4th slide the number box should disappear. This works on Windows but not iPad.

    Thank you for your assistance.

    Seamus
