When I try to sign into my onedrive account it is asking me to approve sign in request using Microsoft authenticator app after I put in my user name and password. I have never set up a 2 step authentication for my account and don't know how to get into my account.

    Dear Bruce Medeck,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

Based on your description, we understand that you currently want to log in to your OneDrive.

First of all, I noticed that you are using a business version of your account and a 2FA prompt appears when you log in. Multi-factor authentication, it is typically set by the administrator of the organization. It is not set by an individual.

According to your prompts, I advise you to download Microsoft Authenticator app on your smartphone. . You open the app on your smartphone, it shows you a dynamically created 6-digit number, which is unique to your phone, that you type into the site and you're in.

If you don't want to use 2FA, you'll need to contact your admin user and ask them to turn this setting off.

    Sincerely,

    Tin | Microsoft Community Moderator
