Problem with same audio file playing over each other

I have inserted an audio file from the beginning of my PowerPoint slide presentation. It starts playing correctly from the beginning and then at about slide 5 (4 second intervals) you can hear in the background the audio file starting to play again from the beginning again over the current audio. In thinking the audio file may be corrupt, I took another copy of it from a different source (MP3) and continue to have the same problem.

I actually found the problem- I did not realize the file had been also inserted on slide 5. Deleted it and all fine! Thank you!

    Hi DavidBevan3

Thank you for posting in the Microsoft Community forum. I hope you're doing well.

Based on your description, it seems to be that you have a problem with your audio file that is playing over each other on your PowerPoint slide presentation. Let's work together to find the best solution to this problem.

To isolate further, I would like to ask a few questions.

Now since you've already tried it on different source, how about if you try to remove those audio file and try to re-add it again.

I look forward to your reply.

    Sincerely
