change connection source power pivot

Question

Hi all,

i have excel file which have tables inside then transformed to model to create power pivot, but all from the same file not using other sources from outside.

every update i take a copy of the file and change the name to have the current month name,

today i put data but i see it doesn't reflect on the output then i figured out that in queries and connection pane i have lots of connections to old files.

i tried to change data source by i see in its properties no path to change it as you see in attached picture

any ideas how to make all these connections read from current file data because when i delete them i delete some of the outputs pivots and slicers.

To change the connection source for a Power Pivot table, you can use the Power Pivot add-in to edit the connection information. Here are the steps you can follow:

In the Power Pivot window, click Home > Connections > Existing Connections. Select the current database connection and click Edit. In the Table Import Wizard that opens, you can change the connection information such as the file, feed, or database used as a source, its properties, or other provider-specific connection options

Hi Anna,

Thanks for your help, just to clarify i already have add-ins activated and made the whole project fine, but i have no current database connection appear

in existing connection menu i get all "No Connection Found".

by the way i have no queries in this file
