SharePoint Quick Launch Filters

I have a series of quick launch views as part of my SP Online site with parents and sub links. While I can filter the parent views to contain each Category (indexed), is there a way to always show all sub link items in the parent links without having to add the individual categories?

To clarify, if my quick launch shows the following views (items in each view have the matching category name):

History (top level)

American (second level)

1940 (third level)

1950 (third level)

1960 (third level)

European (second level)

1970 (third level)

1980 (third level)

1990 (third level)

Can clicking on the top level show only the bottom two levels, and clicking on the second level show only the third levels? I know that in each view I can add for instance "show items only when the following is true: Category Indexed is equal to American," but I am trying to make it so when a new third level is added, the upper levels pick it up automatically.

Thank you

    Dear shubeydoo,

Thanks for posting in Microsoft community. We are glad to help you.

Based on our search and test, we think you have to add the individual categories, there is no build-in option could automatically add a new third level under the upper levels.

Thanks for your understanding and cooperation! Hope you keep safe and healthy always.

    Sincerely,
