We are sorry to learn that you are experiencing a sync exception while using OneNote.
"It says it syncs offline (error) or will just spin" Based on the information you have provided, we can determine that your current network environment is abnormal and that your OneNote is unable to connect to the Microsoft server. You can try the following steps to try and fix your network.
| <ul><li><p data-prewrap="true">Changing the network environment </p><p data-prewrap="true"></p></li><li><p data-prewrap="true">Reset the network </p><p data-prewrap="true"> </p><p data-prewrap="true">1. Search CMD, open it and find the command prompt (,run in administrator mode) </p><p data-prewrap="true"></p><p data-prewrap="true">2. In the pop-up command box, type the following commands in order (type the next one after each line)</p><p data-prewrap="true"></p><p data-prewrap="true">ipconfig /release <br>ipconfig /renew <br>ipconfig /flushdns <br>ipconfig /registerdns <br>netsh int ip reset <br>netsh winsock reset <br>netsh winhttp reset proxy </p><p data-prewrap="true"></p><p data-prewrap="true">3. Reboot the computer to see if this solves the problem. </p><p data-prewrap="true"></p></li><li><p data-prewrap="true">Reset network settings </p><p data-prewrap="true"> </p><p data-prewrap="true">Tap windows+R, type inetcpl.cpl, open Internet Options, click Advanced and check "Use SSL 3.0", "Use TLS 1.0", "Use TLS 1.0", "Use TLS 1.1", "Use TLS 1.1", "Use TLS 1.2", apply and restart the computer to see if this resolves the problem. </p><p data-prewrap="true"> </p></li><li><p data-prewrap="true">Reset the proxy server settings </p><p data-prewrap="true"> </p><p data-prewrap="true">Press windows+R, type inetcpl.cpl, open Internet Options, click Connect, click LAN Settings, check if the Proxy Server field is checked, if so, uncheck it and click OK, apply it and restart your computer to see if it solves the problem. </p><p data-prewrap="true"></p></li><li><p data-prewrap="true">To change the DNS </p><p data-prewrap="true"> </p><p data-prewrap="true">1. Press windows+R and type ncpa.cpl </p><p data-prewrap="true"></p><p data-prewrap="true">2. Click on the name of the network you are currently connected to to open the Network Status window, click on Properties and double click on Internet Protocol version 4 (TCP/IPv4) in the Network Properties window. </p><p data-prewrap="true"></p><p data-prewrap="true">3. Set the DNS server manually to "4.2.2.1" and "4.2.2.2", confirm and restart the computer to see if this solves the problem.</p><p data-prewrap="true"></p></li></ul> |
