Dear all,

I have created a MS Lists as a supplier database on our company Sharepoint. One column should show the website of the supplier with the possibility to click on the hyperlink to get to the website.

The column has been specified as hyperlink, but if I click on it, the following screen appears:

Hmmm...diese Seite ist leider nicht erreichbar

Es sieht so aus, als ob die Webseite unter **https://xxxxxx-my.sharepoint.com/personal/xxx/Lists/Supplier%20Database%2023012023/www.google.de** Probleme hat oder sie wurde möglicherweise dauerhaft zu einer neuen Webadresse verschoben.

ERR_INVALID_RESPONSE

Does anybody know how I can solve that problem?

    Dear respected Schmidtler_408,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

As per your description and error message, I believe the error message occur due to website link address not completed. Based on my test result I also get the same error in hyperlink column if the address link in not correct. Here is screenshot for your reference.

First may I know did you add website link manually in a Microsoft list hyperlink column? if you add file document link in your hyperlink column in SharePoint/Microsoft list, and does it will return errors as well?

If possible, could you please confirm are you able to access website via direct link in a browser, it will help for us to narrow down your problem.

Also, may I know does this problem is happened to specific Microsoft List? If possible, could you please create a new list and add the hyperlink column and verify the result with us.

Appreciate your patience and understanding and thank you for your time and cooperation.

    Sincerely,

    Waqas Muhammad

    Dear Waqas,

"First may I know did you add website link manually in a Microsoft list hyperlink column? if you add file document link in your hyperlink column in SharePoint/Microsoft list, and does it will return errors as well?"

I tried to link to one of my OneDrive documents and that worked. So it seems that only external URL are affected.

"If possible, could you please confirm are you able to access website via direct link in a browser, it will help for us to narrow down your problem."

That also works, it was simply www.google.de.

"Also, may I know does this problem is happened to specific Microsoft List? If possible, could you please create a new list and add the hyperlink column and verify the result with us."

I now also created a completly empty new List with a Hyperlink column, but the result is the same:

And I appreciate your kind words.

It seems that you are using External website link in SharePoint list hyperlink column. Yes, in hyperlink column the External website does not work. Here is my test screenshot for your reference:

In SharePoint list/Microsoft List, the Hyperlink column use "https://"address as a placeholder, use an "https://"address as a placeholder. I just use google and save a link.

Your understanding and patience will be highly appreciated. I hope that you are keeping safe and well!

    Sincerely,

Great, that works!! Thanks a lot!

But is there any way to automate the https.// input in the hyperlink column?

So that the users only have to type in e.g. google.de but not always https://google.de

Regarding to, "But is there any way to automate the https.// input in the hyperlink column?" in SharePoint online list Hyperlink column I'm afraid to may not add automate the https.// input.

However, based on my test as a workaround, you may use classic experience click on "Return to classic SharePoint" in a SharePoint List **** and enter a direct URL. In the classic experience no need to type https.// input.(already added).
