Scroll bar missing

I can't get a vertical scrollbar on my screen. It says go to "File-Option" but there is no File-Option

Microsoft 365 and Office | Word | For home | MacOS

In Word for Mac, click Word > Preferences to find the program-specific settings.

EDIT: I see that Jim has posted specific instructions for setting scrollbar preferences for Mac OS.

Obviously, "it" is wrong.

You'll find scroll bar settings in Mac OS System Settings > Appearance
