OfficeSetup.exe Failure

Question

I have tried using all of the different methods of troubleshooting to get my Microsoft office Home & Student 2021 installed and it still will not download. I need help please. Also, my account is saying that my product key is not listed but it shows up in a different section for me to download.

Greetings for the day! I’m an Independent Advisor and Microsoft user like you. Thanks for posting the query here at this forum.

Have you installed any other office version in your machine? Could you please let us know how and from which link you're tying to install. Please follow below steps for clean installation.

1. Close all Office applications.
2. Sign-out of your Office account.
3. Remove current version of Office from Control panel and a safe reboot. You can start Safe Mode using the F8 key during start up.
4. For clean install, please use SetupProd_OffScrub.exe tool to uninstall everything. Instructions can be found here - https://support.microsoft.com/office/9ad57b43-fa12-859a-9cf0-b694637b3b05
5. Download the offline installer from your account portal
6. Install Office - https://support.microsoft.com/office/f0a85fe7-118f-41cb-a791-d59cef96ad1c
7. If you have any product key please use it for activation. Office activation is onetime and it will not force you to register again until the license has been removed from the system.

Hello Ravikumar,

Thank you for your response. I did all of that plus some. None of those steps worked for me. For some reason, I decided to try a different web browser to download the software and it instantly worked. So, now my software is downloaded and I am able to use it. Again, thank you for taking time out of your day to respond.
