Errors in the OLE automation

Question

Hello, we use office 365 bussines and when generating a word file in the SAP GUI, an error occurs "you cannot control and use the OLE automation function" (LS0003). As a result, word cannot open the generated doc and we need to uninstall office 365 to install an older version. How can we resolve this?

We have also the same issue, and it's blocking for us.

The workaround proposed by Antonio is helpful on short term, but can obviously not be a long-term solution.

Will a final fix be applied quickly to a future version of Word?

Hi.

Same problem here. We have only noticed the problem with OLE automation from SAPGUI and we can confirm that it starts from version 2212 of Word 365.

Downgrading to version 2211 of Office365 and stopping automatic updates is the workaround right now, but we need it fixed for next O365 versions...

 I noticed that you mentioned that you want to install an older version of Office apps, you can refer to the following document: Update history for Microsoft 365 Apps (listed by date) - Office release notes | Microsoft Learn

You can remove Office through Control Panel, Ref: Uninstall Office from a PC - Microsoft Support

I also noticed that you generated Word documents through SAP GUI, it cannot be ruled out that the error message you received is caused by a conflict between the version of Word and the SAP GUI automation script, if you use other versions and still receive this error message, please feel free to contact us and provide the following information:

• If you create a Word document without using the SAP GUI, you will still receive an error message.
• The version information of Excel you are using (File - Account - version information)
