I accidentally permanently deleted all my OneNote files from my OneDrive. Luckily I had OneNote for Windows 10 offline and not connected to the cloud, so I still have the pages I had there. I need to save the pages to the cloud once again (in order to access them from OneNote 2016 and save a local backup, since it isnt possible to do so from OneNote for Windows 10), but as of now, with a stable internet connection, Onenote for Windows 10 doesnt let me:
The program lets me move the single pages from newly made notebooks, but as i have hundreds of pages, I would like to avoid this process.
On OneNote 2016 I was able to move whole sections to a different notebook, but there are only data up until January.
Is there another way to save a backup from data on OneNote for Windows 10 or safely sync the data to the cloud without deleting anything?
My device runs on Windows 11

Hi!
This may be a late reply, but I just ran into this problem today when I realized I had screwed up by deleting my one note files in onedrive to open space. There is no direct way to create a new save location. What you can do as a workaround (though it is a bit tedious) is this.
Thank you for the reply.
Could you please check if you can manually backup the notebook to OneDrive and then import it to OneNote?
On the PC go to Local disk C/ Users/Username/AppData/Local/Microsoft/OneNote/16.0
Locate the Backup files of the OneNote that is recently saved. (OR) You can also find the backup folder in OneNote.
File> Options > Save and Backup > Save. You can find the location of OneNote folder saved.
Once located, upload the backup folder to Onedrive folder > Documents. You can import it to OneNote.
I hope this information helps. If you have any questions, please let me know and I’ll be glad to assist you further.

The notes i need to access aren't visible on the website, in fact they aren't anywhere on the cloud. They are only available locally only in OneNote for Windows 10, not in the app data directory since it shows the backup of OneNote 2016 which is not up to date. Both apps are updated to the latest version.
Hello Enanan,
I’m Gunasekar and I will be happy to help you with your question, I am a Microsoft consumer like you.
When trying to sign in to your account in OneNote, the error code "E0000642" is a frequent problem. That often means that OneNote is experiencing difficulties logging into or communicating with your Microsoft account.
1, Ensure if you can see the notes Online.
Go to www.onenote.com/ and sign in with your Microsoft account.
Click File > Accounts > Update options > Update now.

If you can’t open these notebooks in OneNote for the web, then the problem is related to the notebooks stored in OneDrive.
