Problem in importing data from folder

I tried to import data from my folder in the same laptop by using Data>Get Data>From File>From Folder. But after reaching the specific folder it shows "no item matches your search" into the folder although the folder contains Excel files.

Please help me in this regard. I am using Excel 365.

Thanks

    Dear salarjang,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you

According to your description, we know that you encountered an error message when you imported data from a folder with multiple files.

Make sure you have met the following criteria first:

    • Ensure that all the files you want to combine are contained in a dedicated folder without extraneous files. Otherwise, all files in the folder and any subfolders you select are included in the data to be combined.
    • Each file should have the same schema with consistent column headers, data types, and number of columns. The columns do not have to be in the same order as the matching is done by column names.
    • If possible, avoid unrelated data objects for data sources that can have more than one data object, such as a JSON file, an Excel workbook, or Access database.

Ref:Import data from a folder with multiple files (Power Query) - Microsoft Support

If you meet the above conditions but still receive an error message, please inform us of the following information so that we can further reduce the situation:

    • The version information of Excel you are using (File - Account - version information)

    Sincerely,

    Thanks Tin,

The problem is still persisting though I am following all instructions.

Please find my version information below:

    version 2211 (Build15831.20208 Click-to-Run)

    Current Channel

    Thanks again and Best Regards
