Activation code for 365 personal was applied to incorrect e-mail address (alternative) and I would like to change it to my primary e-mail. I tried to transfer to my email using the license change option but it didn't work.

    Hi Myk,

Do I have other options if the e-mail I want to apply as the primary is already a a microsoft account? (ie. I have an outlook email and my gmail account tied to microsoft) I want to use my gmail account as the account.

Hi Patrick, thanks for coming into the forums. I'm also a user like you and I'll be more than happy to help you to the best of my knowledge.

Unfortunately, you can't transfer your Office license to another Microsoft account as per Microsoft policy.

What you can do is add a new email address as an alias and make it a primary, you can also remove the old email, please click the link for the complete guide: https://support.microsoft.com/account-billing/1898efcd-3f0a-6646-46d8-5b681999e047

Make sure that the new email address is not yet associated with Microsoft account otherwise, you'll get an error.

I hope this helps. Please feel free to get back if you need any additional info.

    Kind Regards Myk
