Office 365 saving issues

Hi all,

I'm facing an issue with a user where she's working on a word document with track changes, saves it at say 4:00, the modified date updates successfully, keeps making changes to it, then saves it at 4:30, the modified date doesn't update and the next day the changes don't appear. There are no error messages. The file is located in a network drive. If the user is working on OneDrive with Autosave ON there are no issues. Office version is 2305. Does anyone have any idea what may be going on?

Thank you in advance.

For a document stored in a network location, manual saves will be required, as you probably already know. (Automatic saving is for OneDrive, only.)

If saving fails on the network location, the issue could be with the location itself. The system admin in your organization should be able to troubleshoot this.

Thank you for your reply. Saving doesn't fail all the time and that issue isn't the norm. The organization consists of about 1000 PC users that work on network drives, some of them in that specific location as well, without any issues. The file does get saved most of the time but there are instances where the aforementioned issue occurs. It has been noticed in some other files that specific user is working on as well, again with track changes. I should mention that when another user is editing those specific files, they don't face issues.
