I'm looking to have a MAX calculation in my Word document but the values are coming from a merge field.

Does this calculation look correct or any suggestions?

{=MAX(«MERGEFIELD1»,«MERGEFIELD2»)}

    Hi Tay2242,

    Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community.

    I have made a short example as below with MAX calculation of merge fields. You may recreate with the same syntax to see if it works

    Sincerely,
