Word for Mac - formatting bullets using styles

Hi There

I'm using word for mac and trying to set up a document with various formatting using styles.

I have created a new style with bullet formatting. I make the changes that I want to the bullet, eg alignment in line with headings or text above, etc... but when I go to update the style it makes the bullet jump out of line again.

Can anyone advise what I am doing wrong.

Its driving me slightly insane LOL

TIA for your help.

You're starting with a Microsoft default bullet, which will always reassert it's built-in indentation. Instead, use the links in Charles' post to create a new list style that will stay true to your formatting.

Also, often times when I update documents the formatting changes elsewhere in the document, eg. if I add some bulleted text, it will take the bullets off other text in the document.
