Hello,

Office 365 and Word

Is it possible to insert a drop down list in Word that the user may select MORE than ONE choice? I know you can do that in InfoPath but I have not seen how you could do that in Word.

Many thanks!

Luke

    Hi Luke

I'm Anna and I'd be happy to help you with your question. In this Forum, we are Microsoft consumers just like yourself.

It is not possible to insert a multiple-selection list box in Word using the built-in features of the program. However, you can achieve this by using a Word add-in or macro. One popular add-in that allows you to create multiple-selection list boxes in Word is called "Combo Box". Another option is to use a macro to create a custom multiple-selection list box.

I hope this helps ;-), let me know if this is contrary to what you need, I would still be helpful to answer more of your questions.

    Best Regards,

    Anna

    Hi Anna,

Thank you so much for responding!

I know of combo boxes but like your add-in approach. Do you have one in mind I could download to try?

    Thanks,

    Luke

I expect you will need to create a UserForm. See: Create a Simple Userform by Graham Mayor, MVP

A Combo Box is not a solution for you.

Thank you Charles for responding! Indeed... I can't do this with Word easily so I opted for InDesign and Acrobat! ha ah aha

The add-in Anna suggested is called "Combo Box."
