Esc button not working

Question

I need help fixing the ESC button that is not working in Excel. I have google how to fix it but none are working.

note :

• i don't have the Photoshop app
• the ESC button works in OneNote.
• the ESC button not work in Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• i had to turn off the add-in off
• restart my pc thousand times..

One special note is: after I restart my pc, and open Excel, the ESC button works but only for that one second. (so I type in a cell asdasd then press ESC. this works.. but when I type asdasd again and press ESC, nothing happens). After that, it no longer works.. even closing and reopening the app still cannot return the ESC button function.

My colleague dont have any problem tho

Update : I was pressing random button because i was upset but when i press windows button + esc, its work!

so how to change it from win+esc to esc button only?

Apr 20 update : so, when the popup notification window appeared, i can use esc button to close it. but when i edit a cell, the esc button not working (win+esc is still can do the job)

I don't have that option.

I do use Grammarly.. is this affecting the error that I experienced?

To Customize shortcuts in word, kindly use these steps:

Go to File > Options > Customize Ribbon.

At the bottom of the Customize the Ribbon and keyboard shortcuts pane, select Customize

For Excel, can you confirm if you use the Grammarly app on Excel or across your office apps?

I have no idea how to customize the keyboard shortcut. i am using windows 10 ver 22H2

Can you first confirm if you are using a windows computer and the version of Windows you are on?
