    Dear caseysususco,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

Based on your description, we understand that the third-party plugin you use doesn't seem to work in Excel.

First of all, I did not search for this plugin in the official plugin store, so we cannot rule out whether there is an incompatibility between the plugin itself and Excel:

For such a phenomenon, I would also like to know the following information:

    • If you create a new workbook, will you still not be able to run this add-in?
    • Could your classmates use this add-in normally?
    • The version information of Excel you are using (File - Account - version information)

We look forward to your reply. Thanks for your cooperation.

    Sincerely,

    Tin | Microsoft Community Moderator

If the add-in file was obtained from another computer, downloaded from a website, or attached to an email, it is likely the add-in file has been blocked by Windows security features.

Unless you unblock the file, your add-in will not run in Excel, and Excel will not warn you about the problem.

Run Windows File Explorer, navigate to the add-in XLAM file, right-click the file, and select the Properties tab.

In the Properties window, select the General tab, and look for the Security: Unblock checkbox in the lower right corner.

If you see the Unblock checkbox, be sure it is checked, and click OK.

It is only necessary to unblock the file once.
