Excel & 2021 missing autosave feature

I noticed that the functionality for working with multiple users at the same time seems to be missing in Excell 2021. Anyone who has Office 2021, they are unable to open it because it is locked for editing by another user.

This Must be a bug, especially considering that Word’s auto-save feature seems to be working just fine. Is something that can be done to resolve it.

And yes before the obvious is stated the Excel file in question is located in my Onedrive folder and has been shared from there.

Any HELP or pointers would be appreciated.

    Hi LordVader1501#,

Thank you for reaching out to us. I am Blessing, an independent advisor here and a Microsoft user like you.

Sorry about that but this feature is not available on Office 2021 Excel. AutoSave is a new feature available in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for Microsoft 365 subscribers. https://support.microsoft.com/office/6d6bd723-ebfd-4e40-b5f6-ae6e8088f7a5
