Issues when switching between monitors

I had been having the same issue as this user:

https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/excel-resizes-incorrectly-when-moving-from-monitor/d58c54ea-6ec6-41b9-a692-ece0433aa51e

Normally I could use Command 0 and it would resize. But one day this happened and It looked even stranger and was not showing the contents properly at all. Idiotically I command saved and figured I could reopen and it would open correctly.

NOPE! Only one line of info ever reappeared. I tried troubleshooting by opening it in numbers, in numbers more showed but still only one row of information. I tried deleting the last x in .xlsx and reopening but nada.

The excel file is like totally blank not even showing lines.

    Dear R_onemillion

Good day! Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

Based on your description, it seems that Excel resizes incorrectly and the Ecel file goes blank on your end.

Given this situation, I've also tried using multiple displays, but I don't seem to be experiencing the same situation. I would like to confirm the following information so that I can understand your situation more specifically:

    • Are all workbooks experiencing this behavior?
    • Is the same happening with other Office apps? Such as Word documents?
    • Do your screens have the same decibel rate?
    • If you use the web version of Excel, will I still experience this behavior?
    • Please kindly tell us your Excel version, click Excel>About the Excel

Also, please check whether your Office applications have been up to date with the latest version. You can reference this article:Update Office for Mac automatically - Office Support (microsoft.com).

If the scenario above is not consistent with yours, you can also post back and point that.

Your understanding and patience will be highly appreciated. I hope that you are keeping safe and well!

    Sincerely,

    Stacey | Microsoft Community Moderator
