possible faulty hard drive

Hi
Each evening there are a series of errors in the event log similar to the following. This series of errors occur within 1minute then it stops until the next day. There is a backup running over night and it always shows as successful. Any help appreciated.

Event ID 50
{Delayed Write Failed} Windows was unable to save all the data for the file \GCHCData\group\administration\Data Reports\N .. -04-21_AuditLogDetail_Medication_488691766.pdf. The data has been lost. This error may be caused by a failure of your computer hardware or network connection. Please try to save this file elsewhere.
Event ID 51
An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk2\DR35 during a paging operation.
Event ID 140
The system failed to flush data to the transaction log. Corruption may occur in VolumeId: \?\Volume{d7a3126b-8633-4da9-84c9-1feb65416907}, DeviceName: \Device\HarddiskVolume82.
(A device which does not exist was specified.)
Event ID 153
The IO operation at logical block address 0xb9ceb90 for Disk 2 (PDO name: \Device\000000bc) was retried.

If you suspect the disk I'd download the disk manufacturer's diagnostic tools to confirm health.
