OneNote highlighting does not align when syncing between devices.

Question

I have two devices on which I use OneNote - a MacBook Air and an iPad. I like to use the iPad for highlighting and drawing on my notes, but when I sync these and look at them on my computer, the highlighting and annotations do not align correctly with the notes on the page. I have tried to find solutions to this problem, but there is no knowledge of how to fix this. This is VERY frustrating since I have just started using OneNote and got an iPad for this purpose. It defeats the purpose of using OneNote. Any help would be appreciated. These same notes have everything aligning correctly on my iPad but not on my computer.

This could probably be an issue with the screen size. OneNote for iOS and OneNote for MacBook is, on a code level, fundamentally different. This could simply be the reason why you're experiencing this issue.

However, this behavior is not intended, thus we advise reporting it to Office for iOS's creators using the in-app feedback function.

From OneNote, click File > Send Feedback > Tell Us What Can Be Better > post your concern > Send.

Check how the OneNote Highlighting is displayed Online - -Open Safari on MacBook. -Go to www.OneNote.com/ -Check the outcome. (OR) Re-install OneNote and check the outcome.
