I created a List last week in Microsoft Lists. When I opened it today all of the data I entered was gone. Only the column titles are present. I started recreating the list today. Half way through I decided to add a new column. In doing so all the data I entered just disappeared.

    Dear Sydney Isaacson,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you

Based on your description, we learned that it seems that the items you added to the SharePoint List disappeared, and this behavior has occurred more than once.  At the same time, this phenomenon also occurs in different lists.

Generally, the deleted items will show in the Recycle Bin and with a column called "Deleted By" to show the related account who did the deletion action. You can first go to the trash bin to see if you can find your data. However, if there shows nothing in the Recycle Bin, it is suggested to contact the escalated support team and they will be able to further investigate the situation by collecting the logs from the organizational background. See: Get support - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Docs

At the same time, I would like to know the following information about the phenomenon you are currently experiencing:

    • Are your colleagues also unable to save List data?
    • Does this phenomenon occur in other sites?

    Sincerely,

    Tin | Microsoft Community Moderator
