How do you change the duration of multiple images in Clipchamp?

I imported 90+ images into Clipchamp and want to change each to 10 seconds instead of the default 5 seconds. I tried to select all and drag the last image out but it's creating space between the images at the end for some reason. Is there an easy way to do this instead of dragging each image, which would also require moving each file over?

Right-click one of the visual gaps >> Select "Delete all visual gaps".

For those facing issue in changing the duration of image, Hold Ctrl and Scroll Up within the Timeline area to alter the width of the Timeline, then you will be able to adjust the duration easily as the green handlebar at both sides of the image is visible now.

9/18/2023 - This post helped me SAVE my many hours of work. The key here is selecting "once" anywhere inside the photo clip timeline, then HOLD CTRL and SCROLL UP like Ying said above and KEEP HOLDING CTRL and KEEP SCROLLING and SCROLLING and SCROLLING.... until finally each slide/clip is big enough again such that once you hover the mouse arrow over the edges of the slides/clips it finally presents you with and left/right width arrows again to change the duration of the slides. THIS IS VERY CLUNKY TO WORK WITH!!!!

What would make much more sense is having the option to right click all the slides (after they are already selected) and choose something like "FIT ALL SLIDE DURATIONS TO MUSIC" or "CHANGE ALL SLIDES DURATION" and let you enter in an arbitrary number.

The problem here is that once you've shrunk the slides down to a point (and you can't tell how far you are shrinking them too, because when you do this with a lot of clips/images the graphics on the screen start to look like they are "in error mode" or not appearing correctly, making you think that the program has screwed up, but what's really up is that the slides are shrunk too far down in view for their duration to be selected anymore.

I tried CLIPCHAMP tonight thinking that much had to have been improved upon from back in the day when I last tried a Microsoft Video Editing program on Windows XP Movie Maker. I loved XP "Movie Maker" (when it didn't crash the PC) for it's custom and simple ability to do it's job, but it looks like CLIPCHAMP is more of the same these days focusing on UI usage rather than DETAILS in SETTINGS and NUMBERS and also focusing on adding media, effects etc... whereas the basic functionality of the program has not yet been straightened out!!! FOCUS ON THE GUTS OF THE PROGRAM FIRST MICROSOFT!!!

EDIT: There is no way to fix the duration of all my slides or "fit them ALL at ONCE to the MUSIC LENGTH" in CLIPCHAMP. I went in after I posted the above and created a new video project with only 3 slides in it to experiment with how the program functions when you try to group select them all together and resize the duration. It is a VERY PECULIAR behavior that happens..... once you've selected them all and try to size them ALL to the same duration it simply DOES NOT WORK THAT WAY. The behavior is very odd and if you slip up or go too far right or left you end up skewing all the slides into ODD durations as opposed to each other. This results in what appears to be a graphics error when you have a lot of slides, by skewing off the ZOOM RATIO of the timeline quite a bit to the point trying to use the GUI to correct the mess is nearly impossible and you END UP LOSING MANY HOURS OF CAREFUL WORK!!!!! It is as if there is no "Lock Aspect Ratio" option (for lack of a better phrase; maybe "Lock Duration Ratio" would be a great new menu option???).

SO.... it looks like CLIPCHAMP is only good for say 20 or 30 slides max. If you go beyond that you will have such a mess on your hands it isn't even worth using the program as soon as you go to adjust slide duration of multiple slides. WHAT A SHAME THEY HAVEN'T FIXED IT YET AND ARE PUSHING IT PAST WHAT ALREADY WAS WORKING (PHOTOS AND VIDEO EDITOR)!!!!

How do you change the duration?

I can not see a button for this anywhere and it is driving me insane.

When I select all the images and then drag the edge of one of them, only the one I drag changes duration. When I group them, dragging the right edge of any of the images increases the length of the first image only, and shortens the rest of the images, leaving gaps.

Who on earth defined this behavior?

I expect them all to increase in length. And I expect a right click option to set the image length for all selected images.

You have to eyeball it when making the adjustment .... with no real way of knowing the duration when doing so.. I did figure out how to highlight all the pics to adjust at the same time. Hopefully Microsoft will fix this. The help section says they are constantly updating the software. Even Microsoft Movie Maker gave me the ability to specify a finite duration of each pic by entering a number..... so one would think this improved software would have it eventually.
