Why does Sharepoint online create duplicate named ranges when excel file is synced?

I have an Excel file that uses named ranges. When the file is modified/saved on OneDrive or Sharepoint online, there are links created to those paths for the named ranges. This creates duplicates for the named range. Then if the file is emailed to someone, they will not be able to use those named ranges if they do not have access to the Sharepoint or OneDrive location.

For example, I can see in the name manager the following kind of duplication:

ec_Apps = https://(sharepoint path)

ec_Apps = A1

Why is this and how can I avoid this named range duplication?

Per the description shared, I understand the concern facing at your end i.e., the named ranges with the SharePoint Online path having the duplicated range when it's uploaded to the cloud location such as OneDrive or SharePoint Online. So, I would like to confirm whether the problem is only with the specific Excel workbook or all workbooks with the named ranges.

In addition, can you please share the sample problematic Excel workbook with us, where we can check the behavior at our end? You can upload the file to any cloud location and share it with us.
