Edit in grid option not showing in Microsoft list app but in sharepoint

Hi All,

I am using Microsoft List for some time now and using heavily "Edit in grid" option button which is now missing in the List desktop app but can be seen on sharepoint for the same list. It was showing earlier but not now any more and cannot see how to get it back

Please suggest some solution for this issue or if any more info needed?

    According to your description, the "Edit in grid option" is missing when viewing the list in Microsoft Lists, but it appears on the SharePoint site. Please try the following suggestions, then check again.

    1. The situation may be caused by your current view. To verify it, please switch to another view (if you don't have another view, please create a new view as shown in the below screenshot), then check again.

    1. The situation may be caused by your browser. Please use another browser, like Edge, open the private window of the browser, go to Microsoft Lists, and check again.

    If the above suggestions don't help, to troubleshoot the situation, I would like to collect more information.

    1. Does the situation happen to a specific list or also happen to other lists?
    2. Are your colleagues in the same situation when viewing this list via Microsoft Lists?

    Dear George,

    Thanks for your reply.

    The issue is with the List desktop window app. If I open the list in browser it does show the "Edit in Grid " option. I did tried creating a new view with above instructions but didnt helped.

    answers to your questions

    1. It happens to all the lists.
    2. Need to yet check with other coleagues.

    Sorry for my late reply.

    I assume you installed the Microsoft Lists app from Edge, and the app interface is as shown in the below screenshot. If so, I have tested it on my side, and it works well.

    As you mentioned the situation only happens in this app, I would like to know if your colleagues are also in the same situation or not.

    If the Microsoft Lists app works well on your colleagues' side, it is likely caused by your Edge browser. Please try the steps in this article to fix it.

    If the Microsoft Lists app doesn't work well on your colleagues' side, it is likely caused by Edge itself. Please contact your admin or IT department to raise a support ticket via Microsoft 365 Admin Center> Support> New service request. That support team there will have the correct channel and resources to help you investigate more and find what exactly the reason has caused this situation.
