Hi Aravind
I'm AnnaThomas and I'd be happy to help you with your question. In this Forum, we are Microsoft consumers just like yourself.
One way to plot non-numerical data with multiple columns in Excel is to use a pivot chart. Here's how to do it:
Select the data you want to plot. Go to the "Insert" tab on the ribbon and select "PivotChart." In the "Create PivotChart" dialog box, select the type of chart you want to create and then click "OK." The "PivotTable Field List" will appear on the right side of the screen. Drag the "Place" column to the "Rows" section and the "Food" column to the "Columns" section. Drag the "Category" column to the "Values" section and select the "Count" function. The pivot chart will be created and will show the count of each food item in each place based on its category.
Note: Pivot charts are best used with numerical data, so you may need to manipulate your data in a way that allows you to quantify the relationship between the variables.
I hope this helps ;-), let me know if this is contrary to what you need, I would still be helpful to answer more of your questions.
Best Regards,
AnnaThomas
