Office does not load the document

Hi,

When I try to preview the docx document using the word office viewer in the iframe(https://view.officeapps.live.com/op/embed.aspx?src={URL}), sometimes the viewer gets struck in the word logo screen with a 404 error and nothing happens. But when I refresh the page with the same file, then the document loads. This issue occurs randomly. Please help me in figuring out this issue.

Thanks

    Hi John,

    Thanks for helping out.

I am using the iframe loading the office viewer URL to render the document in the web browser. Does this have anything to do with the local machine? And I am currently working on an Ubuntu machine.

    Thanks,

    InkPaper

Hi. Thank you for your question and reaching out. My name is John and I’d be more than happy to help you with your query.

Sometimes people are unable to open the Word file due to Windows security settings. The user must then set the "Component Security" settings to the default position in this circumstance.

    1. Enter "dcomcnfg" into the search box and hit the Enter key. An additional window will open.
    2. Choose "Component Services" from the left pane at this point.
    3. Select "Computers" in the middle pane, then double-click it to make it larger.
    4. Go to the "My Computer" icon right now. Select "Properties" by performing a right-click over it.
    5. Go to the "Default Properties" tab last.
    6. Set the "Default Authentication Level" to the Default option from the dropdown menu in the "Default Distributed Com Communication Properties."
    7. Set the "Impersonation level" to "Identify" from the "Default impersonation level" as well.
    8. At last, press the "Ok" button.

Please don't hesitate to post back for further questions. I hope it will work. Fingers crossed! Best regards, John
