SharePoint list and need assistance with accessing the default form settings

I am having an issue with my SharePoint list and need assistance with accessing the default form settings. I am unable to see the form settings option in the list settings menu, and I need to access the default form settings for my SharePoint list.

I have full control permissions on the list and "Enable management of content types" is set to "Yes". I have also tried the following solutions:

  • Checking that I am on the correct list settings page.
  • Ensuring that I am viewing the "Advanced settings" page.
  • Confirming that the "Enable management of content types" option is set to "Yes".
  • Exiting Quick Edit mode.
  • Verifying that I am using a modern SharePoint list.
  • Attempting to access the form settings from a different device or web browser.
  • Checking for any third-party apps or solutions that could be causing conflicts with the SharePoint list settings.

Despite these efforts, I cannot find the option to access the default form settings for my SharePoint list. I need to be able to modify the default form and would appreciate any assistance you could provide in helping me access it.

    Per the description shared, I would like to summarize your concern i.e., you are finding for the Form Settings in the SharePoint Online list so that you can change the default form in the list.

    If my understanding is correct, I would like to convey that Form settings is not available in the Advanced Settings of the List Settings, where it's visible in the List Settings as the main setting:

    If you are not able to see the Form Settings under the General Settings, can you please check whether the Form settings is available for different list in the same SharePoint Online site? If yes and the problem is only with specific list, can you please provide the name of the list template you have chosen for creating the list?
