Hi all,

We are working in a 2012R2 server environment and using sfb 2016 on server and client.

We are trying out Q&A but only the presenter is able see the Q&A himself but all others in the meeting sees the message "some presenting features are unavailable due to server connectivity issues"

Any idea where i can start troubleshooting from? From firewall, i don't see any traffic being dropped.
this is an on prem deployment. we actually never tried it only recently that we thought of doing a q&a.

Both clients and server are in different vlan.

other functions such as whiteboard and powerpoint presentation works.

    hi Sharon, we recently tried again with the same number of pax but it worked fine. Currently arranging for a bigger group of personnel to see if it scales up.

    The only difference was that we back-uped and shrank the xds transaction logs which was full. Can that be a cause?

    @Jacy chua ,

    According to the error message, it is recommended to check if there is any related Error or Warning in Skype for Business server Event Viewer > Applications and Services Logs: Lync Server.

    Meanwhile, in Skype for Business server, go to Services to check if all the following services are running well. If certain service stops, CsUserAdministrator role or the CsAdministrator role could try to Start service manually and check if the Q&A feature works.

    @Sharon Zhao-MSFT Finally managed to locate the failure from the SFB reporting.

    54034 The navigation to the QnA URL failed. The attmept to navigate to the QnA URL failed. The resulting code can either be an HTTP result (for example, a 404), or an HRESULT indicating a DNS failure or other internal HRESULT. The client was unable to view the content as a result.

    Digging into the diagnostic report, i see there is a errorcode=0x194 and inside there are some url logged.
    Is the url supposed to be this URL = "https://poolname.domain/datacollabweb/qna/view/mainpage.html" or conferenceuri?

    I also noticed that on the clients that failed, they are hitting other front end servers instead of the servers that the QnA is hosted. Is that a bug or something has to be done to force user clients to look only for certain server?
