How to search tags in Sharepoint

Question

I have been adding tags to images saved in Sharepoint but am unable to understand how I can then search these tags, so I can see all of the images I've tagged 'trees', for example.

See example of where I'm creating tags below.

I've tried searching this keyword in the search function of Sharepoint but the tagged images don't show.

Sorry for the late reply.

I did a test and it seems that I can't reproduce the same issue as you in our environment.

If it is convenient, I suggest you first go to the library settings>Advanced settings>click on Reindex Document Library in Reindex Document Library>wait some time and then do a test again to see and let us know the result.

Hi Cliff, thanks for your help, I really appreciate it. I can't wait to get to the bottom of this.

Unfortunately I'm unable to follow your instructions as I can't see the options you mention. I believe there may be something about the version of Microsoft 365 I'm using, or app, that is not matching up.

Below is a screenshot of the SharePoint page I see (cutting out sensitive info). Does this give you any clues to why I'm unable to follow your instructions?

Even searching 'Reindex Document Library' or 'Library' doesn't help me, and I can't see a 'Library' app available either.

Thanks for your updates.

Can you go to the site library page where you store the images and deploy the tag? The URL is like https://contoso.sharepoint.com/sites/sitename/library name.

If yes, you can click on Settings>Library settings>Advanced settings>click on Reindex Document Library in Reindex Document Library>wait some time and then do a test again to see and let us know the result.

If you still can't find it, I suggest you contact the site owner and let him see if he can help you re-index the library.

Hi Cliff,

That url unfortunately doesn't work for me. I wonder if and where our wires are getting crossed - I feel like we're referring to different programs or feature capacities.

I'm not familiar with Contoso. I'm using SharePoint part of an Office 365 subscription (not with admin rights) if that helps?
