Try this:
Refresh Filter data in pivot table
I am reusing the same pivot table by changing the data. Each change contains a new date range for the week. After a couple of weeks I have noticed that the older dates are still appearing in the filter range even though they are not in the source data for the Pivot Table. How do you only see the data from the source table in the selection list only?
Example: Delete and replace the source data for the pivot table with a new week of data.
Purpose: Production daily reports
Requirement: Pull the last day of production to report quantities
Issue: Not everyone here knows how to work a Pivot table. The dates shown for selection in the dropdown get cluttered. Only the last date of data is being used for the report. The other dates should not be there because they are not in the source data. After a year of data, this would become a very long list to go through and to select the correct date.
Desire: remove all dates in the range for the filter which are not present in the source data.
