About patch distribution of automatic deployment rule by "no deployment package"

I am using Configuratin manager 2103.
In the auto-deployment rule settings, there is a parameter called "No deployment package".
This is a recognition that the operation is to download directly from Winodws Update on the Internet or Office CDN, not via the MECM distribution point. Is my understanding correct?

    Yes, your understanding is correct but it requires you to enable a setting in the deployment, download settings.
