Hi all,

We are having two exchange 2013 servers and one new Exchange 2019 server. I want to use the HCW to make the Excange 2019 the relay server to Exchange Online (which is now a 2013 exchange server).

I having trouble with the HCW on Exchange 2019. First, i had to set the time zone to -8 instead of my own +1 because of the error:

the utc time represented when the offset is applied must be between year 0 and 10 000

But now i receive this error:

Value cannot be null. Parameter name: ipString

I have tried to enable RPS again according to this link:

Exchange Hybrid Configuration Wizard - Strange Error : r/sysadmin (reddit.com)

But RPS is not blocked yet on our tenant.

Any ideas?

PS. i cant to seem to post this in the exchange online community. Can someone transfer this question to the right community group?

    Hi Abdal,

The problem is solved, I write down my steps.

After testing some of your suggestions the problem was not solved yet.

But on the "TroubleShooting like a pro" site I found this:

Pressing F12 when in HCW will give you an additional Diagnostic Tools section in HCW UI

I started the wizard again and pressed F12. I than choose "Open Exchange Online PowerShell". In the powershell windows that opened there was a message that I was using an older version of the Exchange Online Management module with the "RPS is going to be disabled" message.

As suggested I installed the ExchangeOnlineManagement 3.x module (https://www.powershellgallery.com/packages/ExchangeOnlineManagement/3.2.0)

Than, after starting the wizard again, it works! (still need my timezone to be set to UTC instead of UTC+1)

    Thanks for your support!

    Hello

I am Abdal and I would be glad to help you with your question.

The error message "Value cannot be null. Parameter name: ipString" means that the HCW is unable to find the IP address of your Exchange 2019 server. This can happen for a few reasons, such as:

The IP address of your Exchange 2019 server is not configured correctly. The HCW is unable to access the network interface on your Exchange 2019 server. The HCW is not running with administrator privileges.

To troubleshoot this issue, you can try the following:

Check the IP address of your Exchange 2019 server and make sure that it is configured correctly.

Make sure that the HCW is able to access the network interface on your Exchange 2019 server. You can do this by running the following command:

    netsh interface ip show interface

Run the HCW with administrator privileges.

    I hope this information helps.

    Regards,

    Abdal
