Unlock a Computer

I have recently upgraded my Microsoft 365 account to the “Family Option”, I have two computers, one computer is upstairs which I use a “Password” to access, the other computer is downstairs which I use a “PIN Number” to access.

By mistake, I have locked the computer downstairs, I get the following message on my the computers screen:-

“This device is locked by an administrator. Ask any of the administrators sign in to unlock it.”

As I am the person paying for this account I take it that I am the only “Administrator”, I have absolutely no idea as to how sign into the “locked computer”, could you please assist.

I have tried rebooting the computer using the CTRL+ALT+DELETE and also trying to get into the computer in the SAFE mode, both failed, can anyone point me

in the right direction please, thanks.

The matter is urgent and any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

I am Abdal and I would be glad to help you with your question.

If your computer is locked by an administrator, you can try the following methods to unlock it.

Unlock using Command Prompt in Windows Recovery Environment

Turn off your computer. Turn it back on and repeatedly press F8 or Shift + F8 (depending on your computer model) to enter the "Advanced Boot Options" menu. Select "Troubleshoot" and then "Advanced options". Click on "Command Prompt".

In the Command Prompt, type the following command and press Enter:

    net user <your_username> /active:yes

Replace <your_username> with the username of the locked account.

Close the Command Prompt and restart your computer. Try logging into the previously locked account.

    I hope this information helps.

    Regards,

    Abdal

Sorry, but this is not an appropriate question for this forum, which is about Microsoft Access relational databases. Please find a better forum for your question.
