Excluding a Column from Conditional Formatting in Microsoft Excel

Good morning,

I have an Excel spreadsheet that is using a Data Validation list (drop down menu) tied with some conditional formatting settings. The idea is that the row will automatically highlight a certain color based on the selection from the Data Validation drop down menu.

I had to add an additional column to my spreadsheet. However, I do not want this column in black to be highlighted when I make a selection from my Data Validation list based on my conditional formatting.

Could anyone please take a look at my Conditional Formatting Rules Manager to see what I need to edit in me "Applies to" range to exclude column B "Station" from conditional formatting rules?

The "Applies to range" in my Conditional Formatting Rules Manager is = $A$7:$J$39.

I simply need to exclude column B from that range.

Thank you.

    Hello p45cal,

That is exactly what I needed.

Thank you so much for understanding my question without an example.

My organization does not allow me to share internal files.

    My request is now resolved.

    Thank you.
