I am unable to insert object on excel.
Seems to be happening with only the pdfs, especially when adobe is used.
If I remove adobe app, then it does allow me to add the pdf as object. Checked addins, reinstalled, repaired office apps and adobe as well.
Any advice or fix will be appreciated.

No pdf file was open.

Found the issue was due to another software.
Usually, it is because you still open that pdf file. Make sure the pdf file you were trying to insert is closed.
