I have tried to add a file to Loop, but I only get one option in the list... How do I look at all of my files so that I can select the ones I need?

One of my teammates found a work-around from this. In order insert a file into a Loop page:

    • Open the file you want to insert (Doc, spreadsheet, etc)
    • Use the Share button in the top right corner
    • Click "Copy Link"
    • Paste that link into Loop and it will insert your file

Still a problem that you can't choose the file from within Loop, but this has worked for me so far. Hope this helps you, too.

    Thanks for replying back, redblade_017.

What happens if you choose the Files option highlighted

in the photo below? Does that not provide you the potion to choose other files?

By the way, it's unclear from the photo you provided if you are using Loop in your Safari web browser or if it's the actual Loop app you are using. Which is which?

    We await your response.

    Sincerely,

    Glenn Rue

    Hi Glenn,

I am using Loop from within the MS Edge browser.

When I select the Files option, it only offers me a handful of options to select, normally files that are recent or one or two that Loop thinks is linked to the page I am building.

There is no option to search for files from other sources i.e. desktop or downloads for example.

Thank you for taking the time too look at this

    Rick

    Hello, redblade_017.

Thanks for reaching out to our Microsoft Community Forum. Please accept our sincerest hope that all is well.

From the description provided you seem to be unable to add files to Microsoft Loop. It appears you don't have an option to basically open a screen where all your files are listed.

This issue may have been caused by settings in Office or Windows that need to be changed. So, let us work together as a team to get to the bottom of this. But to better assist you I need to ask:

    1. What version of Office are you using? Microsoft 365 Personal? Microsoft 365 Family? Microsoft 365 Business Standard? Microsoft 365 Apps for Enterprise? Office 2016? Office 2019? Office 2021? I specifically need the Product name and Version number as highlighted in the guide and photo below.

    1. What version of the macOS are you running on this device? Please use the following steps to determine the version: Find out which macOS your Mac is using
    2. Can you provide us a photo of what you're seeing on your end in Microsoft Loop?

Hope to hear from you soon.

    Hi Glenn,

    Thank you for the reply

From a MS app, I am using Version 16.73, Microsoft 365 subscription and this is for a higher education institution where I work, so not sure if this would be classed as an education licence or business.

    Mac OS - Ventura 13.4

    Thanks Rick
