    Dear DS Bell,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

Per the description shared, I would like to summarize your requirement i.e., you would like to show the items in the drop-down list without clicking on the drop-down arrow.

If my understanding is correct, as per my experience it's not possible to meet your requirement via setting or formula but I guess it can be achieved by using VBA Macros. So, I would like to suggest you to post your concern in the VBA Community to get more help from experts. Office VBA support and feedback | Microsoft Learn

In addition, I will keep this thread open so Excel MVPs and experts can share their ideas and views on your requirement.

    Thanks for your cooperation.

    Sincerely,

    Mia | Microsoft Community Moderator
