Solver not working

When I try to use Solver in one excel sheet for a specific model, it works fine but when I try to use it on any another sheet for the same model, it doesn't cause any change in the values. Is there any problem while using Solver in different worksheets!

I'm trying to use Solver but after I click on Solve, a dialogue box appears which says, "Solver found a solution. All Constraints and optimally conditions are satisfied." But still the values in the model don't change and I cannot see the solution.

    Hi,

Actually, I copied the link the same way you mentioned. I'm not sure how it isn't working.

    Please check if this works.

If this doesn't work, I'm hereby attaching a link from onedrive.live.com. I hope it will work.
    Data_Excel Solver.xlsx

In this excel sheet, the solver is only not working. I'm not understanding the issue.

Also, I attached the video so that I could give you clarity about the issue I was facing between the link between two different sheets.

I'm attaching the video link again if you want to have a look!

Many thanks for all your support!

I have data for different experiments conducted for which I need to use the same model.

Okay, I misunderstood. I thought you meant the same model with the same data.

Certainly the same Solver set-up can "work" (i.e. find a better solution) with one set of data, but not with another.

Nevertheless, I'm happy to take a look to see if there is any problem.

I am most interested in the Excel file.

But when I click on the posted link, it claims the requested page does not exist.

I am not interested in watching a video.

But FYI, when I use the link to view the video, it is rotated right so that the video is on its side.

Using Windows Media Player, I did not see a way to reorient the video by rotating left.

    That might be my problem.

But I thought you might want to check it out and make any corrections, if necessary, for posterity.

I have data for different experiments conducted for which I need to use the same model. I am using the same excel workbook but different sheets for various experiments.

But now, I also tried using a different excel sheet for the same model, and it redirects me to the previous sheet and doesn't change the values of the variables.

I'm using the same solver method.

I'm hereby attaching a link to access the excel file, please have a look.

https://app.box.com/s/ts5erzmtjym6umyr60bfa6lbvibh8i03I'm also attaching a link to access the video of the issue I'm facing with the solver. Hope it may give clarity about it. https://app.box.com/s/dljhnk6ploi9zx0bgnfo68p58izc6jkg

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Thanks in advance for your support.

If it is the "same model", why are you using Solver in "another sheet" (in the same file?)?

The answer might give us insight into why nothing changes.

And why do you expect anything to change when using Solver in the second sheet?

Are you starting both Solvers with the same values in the object and variable cells?

Are you using the same Solver method? Are the method options the same?

Can you upload an example Excel file that demonstrates the problem to a file-sharing website, and post a download URL that does not require that we log in?

I like box.net/files; others like dropbox.com. You might like onedrive.live.com because it uses the same login as this forum.
