I need to upgrade a large number of Windows 10 computers using our enterprise management tool BigFix. When I try to do so via mounting a 20H2 iso file and running setup I get the following error message in the CBS logs and the update fails:

[HRESULT = 0x800f0823 - CBS_E_NEW_SERVICING_STACK_REQUIRED]

Ok great you say just upgrade your servicing stack. I can do that manually however not on thousands of computers. BigFix and many other endpoint management tools use patches that are in the windows update catalog. The KB4023057 servicing stack update IS available through this catalog but only for older versions of Windows 10 (1803 and lower).

So from an enterprise perspective what is the solution and why doesn't Microsoft provide the required servicing stack updates especially if they are required to run feature updates for their platform?
